By far one of the biggest expenses that a traveler incurs are flights. Flight costs can add up, especially long haul International!

But what if I told you there is travel hack to getting free flights, plus extras like, free bags, club lounge passes and much more?

No seriously.

I’ve had the opportunity to fly free to places like:

  • Cancun, Mexico

  • Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

  • Calgary, Canada

  • Frankfurt, Germany

  • Istanbul, Turkey

  • Los Angeles, United States and many more!

“Ok, so what’s the catch? Is this some sort of Influencer scheme?”

No! Avid travelers know the best way to fly for FREE is through….

Travel & Airline Rewards Credit Cards

Sign up for a Travel & Airline Rewards Credit Card

You are literally losing out by NOT signing for a travel rewards credit card.

These cards will allow you to collect points on your everyday purchases and large expenses. Some credit card rewards programs offer 1-5x the points on purchases if you purchase additional items such as baggage or book hotels or activities through their networks or partners. These points turns into miles, which can be used to redeem flights or other items like rental car, hotels, activities, etc

If you are already a frequent flyer of a preferred airline, why not reap the additional benefits and gain the miles?

By just signing up, some credit cards offer you 15-60K points when you sign up or spend a certain amount of money in a given time period. For most airlines that is good for 1-2 flights!

One small caveat, while your flights will be free, taxes imposed like airport securities fees will always apply. Some fees can range from $30 for domestic and $60 for International flights. Essentially pocket change compared to the actual cost of a flight.

How to find the Best Travel Rewards Credit Card

“But there are SO many cards on the market, how do I pick the best one?

Do your research.

  • Take into consideration the fee (most reward credit cards have annual fees)

  • How is their point system structured?

    • Do their points roll over or expire?

  • What additional benefits do they have?

    • Club lounge passes

    • Free baggage allowance

    • Discount on travel activities, hotels, rental car?

    • Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check Membership (for US citizens), etc.
