Why the hell would I go through the effort to quit my job in the States, live out of two backpacks to then say “ Adios!” to an opportunity to live in España. I mean to think of all the countries I could have seen...
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬!
𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐔𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐓. You can’t miss what was never for you! I knew in the pit of my stomach I’d never forgive myself in choosing a career over helping to take care of my sick father.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧? I learned that while one opportunity can be over there there are still opportunities to find fulfillment. I on occasion volunteer to teach English to ESL and refugees in my community.
𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. I was considered so valuable to the organization that they offered me two opportunities and increase pay to stay even after I gracefully declined their offer. That’s a win to me!
